Collected from Tinaroo Creek in 1900, but this location was not found in the Gazetteer or Atlas according to Jack R Logan in 1900, but may be in the vicinity of Herberton. Northmost Australia,Vol2 Tinaroo is on lower reaches of Tinaroo Creek on Johnstones map. Red, yellow, black and white natural pigments. Tinaroo Creek is near Mareeba on the Atherton Tablelands.
Walter Roth sold his collection of nearly 2000 North Queensland artefacts to the Australian Museum in 1905 for £450 (Barnard 2014).
