Description: L1010 x W230mm

Collected from an area close to the beach at False Cape near Yarrabah in 1887.  Red, black and white natural pigments with some remnant white pigment on back of shield.

Has significant damage from combat. Walter Roth sold his collection of nearly 2000 North Queensland artefacts to the Australian Museum in 1905 for £450 (Barnard 2014).
