Painted shield made of an oval piece of fig wood. Surface painted in ochres and white pipe clay. Handle carved into verso.
Donated by John Ewen Davidson, who was a Scottish immigrant who is credited with pioneering the sugar industry in north Queensland (Barnard 2014).
