Very large painted shield; muted colours; traces of white paint; zigzag hatching over the yellow; large chunk out of one side.
The design on this shield is consistent with the ‘Hand held fish net’ design on Yidinji shields held in the Queensland Museum collection QE1142, and a contemporary version made by Michael Boiyool Anning (1955-) in 2011 registered as QE40655, and the E013435 Shield in the Australian Museum collection (Barnard 2013).
